They Hatched........

I told you about the peahen who was sat on eggs on top of the high wall. So I thought I would update you. They have hatched. I have not taken the video too close as I did not want to upset her. I could see 3 chicks up there on the wall. We watched them all day wondering if any more would hatch. Later that day one of the chicks fell down and we caught it up.

Then two went running across the top of the barn near the wall and mother followed. My partner had to climb up onto the barn on one side and I climbed up on the other. Eventually we caught the last chick and mother. On checking the eggs that were left in the nest they were clear, (not fertile). Mother and chicks are now safe and doing well, I will video them soon and post.
